Happy New Year everyone...2009
Enough happiness to keep you happy
During the year may you have Enough happiness to keep you sweet. Enough trials to keep you strong. Enough sorrow to keep you human. Enough hope to keep you happy. Enough failure to keep you humble. Enough success to keep you eager. Enough friends to give you comfort. Enough wealth to meet your needs. Enough enthusiasm to make you look forward to tomorrow. Enough determination to make each day better than the day before.

HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone.
A New Year is here once more, With its visions of future promise. The old ways passed by, And a fresh start, there for the taking. All is optimism; Gloom is gone! Looking forward to the innocent blossoming of spring Blooming into a youthful, balmy summer. But the world does not change. That beautiful vision of new cleanness Comes from within; From the hope for a better world, And a desire to let the old ways go.

In Winter's Arms Winter holds me with his arms of icy white, and kissed my breath with frost upon the pane. Subdued by touch of winter's frigid hand, I pray for spring to find me once again.
O'wind, you whistle to the winter's tune. Your melody is heard 'pon day and night, but one day spring will come to rescue me, and wisk away your song of winter's blight.
O'tree, you're frozen in the winter's dream. Your leaves have left you 'neath a moon of white, but when my prayers are answered 'pon spring's dawn, you'll thaw beneath its sun with warm delight.
O'field, your harvest has been reaped and spent ~ and winter blankets you 'neath snowy mounds. Yet one day soon in springtime's rising mist you'll feel the greening of your earth rebound.
Winter holds me with his arms of icy white, and kissed my breath with frost upon the pane ~ but deep within I somehow always know, that spring will come and find me once again.

Someone painted pictures on my Windowpane last night -- Willow trees with trailing boughs And flowers, frosty white,
And lovely crystal butterflies; But when the morning sun Touched them with its golden beams, They vanished one by one.

Angel Of The Night
by Wolfgang
Perched high upon a mountain top She sits and plays her mandolin, She's serenading stars and moon, And bid them welcome once again.
Her tunes are gentle, if not chanting, She is the angel of the night, Greets coming darkness as a friend And puts to sleep the day of light.
The stars applaud her nightly concert, The moon enjoys her melodies, And all is good, and all is well, And all is as it ought to be.
Until the moon begins to yawn, Until the star-glow fades away, All is at peace another night, Another dawn, another day.

Love Speaks through Us
© By Michelle Landis
If the heart could speak what would it say We try and tell of the feelings that are deep within us from day to day
Love is a vast emotion it can fill you up inside it can rip you apart and leave you questioning Why?
But Love was given to us as a gift so precious and devine So that we can share it with others so that the light may through us shine
Some of us look from day to day deperately to just feel it Some of us sort through our thoughts just trying to figure out how to reveal it
One does not know the key to it's mystery that runs deep It exists always even while we sleep
Love was given for a reason It is truly just to share An emotion to show someone else how deep down we really care

Butterfly, Butterfly Hoping to catch your eye Circling around you, oh my Butterfly, butterfly, come into the light Oh, what a beautiful sight Flying so gracefully Into the sky, the butterfly Trying to catch a butterfly Fly, fly, fly, butterfly There he sets upon the mums I'm having so much fun Here's another on the sill Your standing so still You go to touch him There he goes, the butterfly I hear a tapping on the window It's the butterfly, fly, fly, fly There he goes into the sky Flying so high, the butterfly I'll see you another day Butterfly, butterfly, away

Sounds (for you Delphine) Listen - listen - across the land called Africa- For the birds are singing here The roar of the lioness - the whine of her cubs The cry of the vultures - ever, ever circling there-
Oh - see for miles No tangled web of wires Endless horizons spread No polluted mists - a view that will never tire
Listen - listen - across the land called Africa The sun goes down - birds settle in every tree The hunt begins - endless for their prey For these are the sounds of Africa - they keep Africa free!

African Sunset
© By Robert G. Fetters
Day is life, As the roars of lions echo, And the galloping of the antelope fade.
Night is death, As the laughs of the hyena haunt you, And the bush is filled with the sounds of terrorized creatures.
But between the beauty all is quiet, As the sun disappears, And the land lights up in the most spectacular display, An African Sunset.

Spring © By Ashley R. McCourt
The rain will fall, But the trees will stand tall. The wind will blow, And the river will over flow. The frogs will leap, The children will sleep, And you'll hear not a peep. Birds will sing, Bees will sting, Flowers will sprout, And upstream will come the trout. Then you'll hear, For it's coming near. Spring is here, And it's so sincere.

Meeting the Easter Bunny On Easter morn at early dawn before the cocks were crowing I met a bob-tail bunnykin and asked where he was going. "Tis in the house and out the house a-tispy, tipsy-toeing, Tis round the house and 'bout the house a-lighlty I am going." "But what is that of every hue you carry in your basket?" "Tis eggs of gold and eggs of blue; I wonder that you ask it. "Tis chocolate eggs and bonbon eggs and eggs of red and gray, For every child in every house on bonny Easter day. He perked his ears and winked his eye and twitched his little nose; He shook his tail -- what tail he had -- and stood up on his toes. "I must be gone before the sun; the east is growing gray; Tis almost time for bells to chime." -- So he hippety-hopped away.

Smile Smile because it’s contagious Smile because it’s healing Smile because it makes people wonder What you’re thinking.
Smile innocently to hide the guilt Smile mischievously to make others skeptic. Smile lovingly to butter up the retaliator Smile dreamingly to make others lovesick.
Smile because it’s raining Smile because you’re tickled. Smile because you’re happy Smile because you’re idle.
Smile affectionately to show your love Smile smugly as you’ve done your work. Smile pleadingly to get what you want Smile forgivingly to pardon the jerk.
Smile because you’re confused Smile because you’re lost without a plan. Smile because you want to And smile just because you can!

Sunset © By Anna C. Hartman
Sky so deep It lasts forever
Hues no artist can discover It looks like all the colors of the world
Are drowning in the sky Red,
Like leaping fire Blue,
Like the echo of a sad slow song Pink,
Like innocent lips Gold,
Like the dust of knowledge that settles In the empty corners of your mind
Purple, Like the blur of a skirt
As dancers swish and swirl A hint of green,
Like the bright green After lush rain descends
Quiet that sits waiting Ever so patient and powerful
Stillness that is far wiser Than anything
Like the present tense A moment lost in the moment
Alone and waiting to become the past

Rainbows
by Alastair Adamson
O Glorious Creator, let Thy light be shed And let Thine eyes transform the bluest skies. Surely this light warms each and every head, Freeing truth and fettering lies. Warming thus the corners of the globe Thy loving light itself is evident And tickles my temporal lobe From rainbows, rain and refracted light bent. The arc and breadth of such a won'drous thing High above, it's shape I'll n'er hold; But at this sight does all Creation sing And leadeth me unto Thy pot of gold.
Though such visions often come to view, N'er forget to dream thy dreams anew.

"When April steps aside for May, Like diamonds all the rain-drops glisten; Fresh violets open every day: To some new bird each hour we listen."

Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms out there...
Mother’s definition Mother’s love is deeper than ocean, Mother’s lesson is bigger than the sky, Mother’s sacrifice is greater than God, Mother’s lap is more comfortable than the warm bed, Mother’s tale is better than the best novel on this earth, Mother’s picture is more beautiful than a fascinating scenery, Mother’s blessings are more powerful than the thousands of seas, Mother’s shade is cooler than the shade of heavy laden trees, Mother’s light is brighter than the sun, Mother’s role is seventy times greater than the father, Mother’s place is more sacred than any shrine, Mother’s care higher than the heaven.
