A very special person wrote this poem to me. She now is my daughter.
To You Who Stands Beside Me
You'll never know how much it means to me, To have you by my side, When my sky turns gray and stormy, I know I don't need to hide,
You're always there, My guiding light, The person who will stand beside me, In my darkest night.

Great poems pinky and angel. Here's one that started out as a sort of catch phrase and I was asked if I could write a poem about it.
The Silent Phone
I sit here all alone each day Listening as the birds do sing And all I have is loneliness And a phone that doesn’t ring
I wish my love would call me And speak to me of loving things But all I have is emptiness And a phone that never rings
A house that screams a silence Is all that my day brings As I sit and cry a lonely tear Beside my phone that never rings
I’m afraid to leave the room at all In case I miss a vital “ding” So I just sit here all day and stare At the phone that doesn’t ring
If I could only hear her voice I would have most everything And then how happy I would be But still the phone it doesn’t ring
So, until my baby calls me And my heart begins to sing, I’ll just sit in silence, waiting Beside a phone that doesn’t ring.

You Deserve the Best
This life is yours Take the power to choose what you want to do and do it well Take the power to love what you want in life and love it honestly Take the power to walk in the forest and be part of nature Take the power to control your own life No one else can do it for you Nothing is too good for you You deserve the best Take the power to make your life, healthy, exciting, worthwhile and very happy Take the power to reach for your dreams.

Reasons Why I Love You
There are just so many reasons Why I’m so in love with you, So please relax and listen babe While I mention just a few.
I love you ‘cause you’re honest, girl, And you’re sweet and oh so kind, You’re funny and intelligent, You really blow my mind.
I love the way you smile at me, To see you crying is a sin, I love to lay beside you, close, And smell the sweetness of your skin.
I love your hugs and kisses, babe, They really make me feel quite safe, And I hunger for your loving touch For the way it makes my heart behave.
I love the way you love me, darling, A love I know will never end, I love you as my lover and Especially my friend.
All these things, and many more, Are the reasons I am true. But most of all, my precious one, I love you ‘cause you’re you.

This is old English, but it is so very beautiful. I fell in love with it at first sight. "Never despair" is my motto: NIL DESPERANDUM! by Abdullah Quilliam Courage brother! Do not falter, Dry your tears and cease from sighing; Though clouds look black, they soon may alter, And the sun will send them flying.
"Out of evil oft cometh good," Is a maxim to my liking; The blacksmith well the iron beateth, But 'tis better for his striking.
Work today and give up grieving, Know that joy is born of sorrow; And though to-day is rainy weather, Hap 'twill brighter be to-morrow.
Gambling doth not make our labour The least bit more a pleasant task; 'Tis joyful heart that lightens trouble, Contentment brings to those who ask.
First the childhood, then the manhood; First the task and then the story; 'Tis after nightfall comes the dawning, First the shade and then the glory.Woodland Towers, Onchan, Isle of Man, 23rd October 1904. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- www.masud.co.uk/ | British Muslim Heritage

Creating Elvis tileset I googled for pictures and came across a site with his lyrics: www.geocities.com/SoHo/Atrium/9346/elvissongs/index.html I love this one in particular: Love Me Tender (Vera Matson - Elvis Presley) Love me tender, love me sweet, never let me go. You have made my life complete, and I love you so.
Love me tender, love me true, all my dreams fulfilled. For my darlin' I love you, and I always will.
Love me tender, love me long, take me to your heart. For it's there that I belong, and we'll never part.
Love me tender, love me dear, tell me you are mine. I'll be yours through all the years, till the end of time.
(When at last my dreams come true Darling this I know Happiness will follow you Everywhere you go).

Butterflies and Angels
Beautiful angels and butterflies galore That's what you see when you open the door. Tiny sweet angels with wings of lace Tall stately angels full of beauty and grace. Baby faced angels with curly blonde hair Plump little angels whose bottoms are bare. Butterflies of purple, some with silvery wings These are some of her favorite things. I feel I'm in heaven when I open her door For I'm greeted by angels lined up by the score!

After I discovered lyrics are called lyrics in English, I google for them. You can sing the ones you know by heart for me please. I love the romantic ones of Elvis best. There're so many performers I love. List would be far too long to put all in. Still grows, since we listen to internet radio. This is an other favorite found at: www.lyricsdownload.com/orbison-roy-lyrics.htmlIn Dreams (Roy Orbison) A candy colored clown they call the sandman Tiptoes to my room every night Just to sprinkle stardust and to whisper, "Go to sleep, everything is alright."
I close my eyes then I drift away Into the magic night I softly say a silent prayer Like dreamers do Then I fall asleep and dream my dreams of you
In dreams I walk with you In dreams I talk to you In dreams you're mine all the time With you ever in dreams, in dreams
But just before the dawn I awake and find you gone I can't help it, I can't help it If I cry I remember that you said goodbye
It's too bad that all these things Can only happen in my dreams Only in dreams, beautiful dreams

I don't understand what you mean. The site has loads of Elvis lyrics. Could there possible be more?
Anyway here is another poem. Well it rhymes. Had doubts to post in here or in Fun Links:
~ A Parent's Prayer ~
Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray my sanity to keep. For if some peace I do not find, I'm pretty sure I'll lose my mind. I pray I find a little quiet, Far from the daily family riot. May I lie back and not have to think About what they're stuffing down the sink, Or who they're with, or where they're at And what they're doing to the cat. I pray for time all to myself (did something just fall off a shelf?) To cuddle in my nice, soft bed (Oh no, another goldfish--dead!) Some silent moments for goodness sake (Did I just hear a window break?) And that I need not cook or clean (well heck, I've got the right to dream) Yes now I lay me down to sleep, I pray my wits about me keep, But as I look around I know, I must have lost them long ago!

This is one of my favorites.....
Through Someone else's Eyes
Yesterday a butterfly Came floating gently through the sky. He soared up through the atmosphere Then drifted close enough to hear
I said, "I'd love to fly with you And sail around the way you do. It looks like it would be such fun. To fly up toward the summer sun.
But I have not your graceful charm. I haven't wings, just these two arms. I've been designed to walk around. My human feet must touch the ground.
Then magically he spoke to me and told me what his wish would be.
He said, "What I'd love most to do Is walk upon God's Earth with you, To squish it's mud between my toes Or touch my finger to my nose.
I'd love just once to walk around With human feet to touch the ground. But I have not two legs that swing. I haven't arms, just these two wings."
And so we went our separate ways In wonder and surprise. For we'd both seen God's precious gifts Through someone else's eyes.

Always Believe in Yourself
Get to know yourself - what you can do and what you cannot do - for only you can make your life happy
Believe that by working learning and achieving you can reach your goals and be successful
Believe in your own creativity as a means of expressing your true feelings
Believe in appreciating life Be sure to have fun every day and to enjoy the beauty in the world
Believe in love Love your friends your family yourself and your life
Believe in your dreams and your dreams can become a reality
