Hi everybody, I am Lizardsaurus from Edmonton. I have never been on this forum before, but I would like to offer an amusing tileset that I drew, they are very easy to work with, and the link is: rapidshare.de/files/35116475/Mahjong_tile_67529.cstCan I do this? Lissa T.

Hi Lizardsaurus.
Thanks for the tileset. It are very funny drawings. They made me laugh.
I have a few suggestions. I hope, you will not feel insulted by them. I only want to help.
It is better to create a new thread and name it: Lizardsaurus' Tilesets. If you create more tilesets, you can post it in the first post by modify it and tell us in a new post you did.
After we can delete this one.
For self drawn pictures it is best to use a ratio of 8x10 and save the pictures as PNG format. That way the drawings will fit the tile and don't fall over it.
The size has to be at least be 80 x 100 pixels for the game to accept it. If a picture is under 1 KB, game tells you: "something is wrong with image number #. Change something and try again." (Or something like that). If that is the case, you can resize the picture to 120 x 150 pixels to make it over 1 KB. That will do the trick. If not, try 160 x 200 pixels.

Thank you Gerda For the advice. I have never even been in a chatroom before, so any help/info is welcome. I do not know what a PNG format is, nor how to get it, nor what program would open it? I have only seen .jpg on photos and .bmp on bitmaps as file extensions. It will take me a good while to find enough time to properly resize these, but I will get on it. Please feel free to rename the thread, and if there is another one I should go to for "chatting" please feel free to point it out. I have already copied your last message to keep the info. Thank you, Lizardsaurus.

Thanks Delphine for the compliment. I am so pleased that someone liked them. I only have Microsoft Paint to work with, (well I have GIMP too, but it's going to take me 5 years or a good manual, to learn how to use all the features in it! ) Lizarsaurus

Hi Lizardsaurus, I moved your thread to this board. It turned out more a information thread over a tileset sharing thread. Please, make a new thread in the board: Usermade Tilesets and name it: Lizardsaurus' tilesets. That way you are able to post new tilesets, if you make them, in the first post. I'm wishfull thinking. I do like your tileset very much as it is. I put it on the layout of Jason300 (Raymangold) in Hardest Layout Club for that reason. Sure I am willing to make a thread. I want to do everything to please and help members and MTE players. But after you always depend on a moderator to get the tileset links in the first post. I bet you're like me: wanting to be independent. PNG is just another extension for picture files like JPG and BMP. It is not the same though. If that was the case, we would not need it. It is better for tilesets to use this picture file format. I made another thread in this board how to use IrfanView to create a neat tileset. Read it over. It looks more difficult than it is. Here is the link to get to it. Just click on it: mahjongtowers.proboards56.com/index.cgi?board=tilesetshelp&action=display&thread=1159200860As your pictures are already JPG format, I come to think, resizing them and save as PNG files, it is better to use ratio of 80x96 pixels as well. Not sure though. You just have to experiment. For some comfort: I have redone some tilesets more than 3 times.

Hi, I redid the tileset and posted it on Esnips this time, but I couldn't actually figure out how to modify the first thread in the User Made Tile Sets board, so I posted it as a reply. I never got the modify icon on the original thread, maybe because i didn't write it myself?? My bad.

If one is bad, it is me, not you. Patience is not my middle name. Sorry for that. I give you a karma to make up.
I deleted the first post at your thread in the Usermade Tilsets board. You can modify the first one now by clicking at "modify". This word is located at the top right of your posts. After clicking it, you get into a small box. This is the editor. It can be enlarged by clicking at "Expand" at the bottom.
If you make more tileset, you can collect them in the first post and tell through a new to make posts, you did. Modifying a post will not be notified by visitors. Only new posts show up.
I highly appreciate it you choosing Esnips for sharing right away. It is far easier for players to download the tileset and we do not have to worry the link will expire. Karma for you.

I think you made a little mistake, typing over the link. To avoid that I always copy and paste the link from the box in top of IE. If I checked out right, it is: www.esnips.com/web/paulinejps-tilesetsI see three tilesets published. Why not create an own thread in the Usermade Tileset topic?
