To be entirely honest, I wouldn't know the -exact- procedure, but, I would imagine it very similar to on a PC, you simply download the .cst files and place them into the player-made tilesets folder in your MJTE install folder/directory. Right now, there's two places to get tilesets, I've set up a website at www.mtetiles.nanenj.com where the downloads should exist forever. However, most tilesets are currently only hosted on rapidshare.de where they expire if they haven't been downloaded in a month. Let me know if this helps.

Lazynanenj, thanks for taking the time to respond. I think this is a question for a Mac user, because when I go to your list of files I just get jibberish.

I did move things around, however, I'm fairly sure you should see the same thing in the browser as everyone else... of course this is dependent on your browser slightly. Right now the webpage is far from user friendly, simply a directory listing of files on the server. I've put the tilesets under the name of the creator in the 'tilesets' folder on the server.

Hello again. New MTE Mac user here. I succeeded in downloading some beautiful tilesets and they went to my desktop. I did a search on my Mac for the player tilesets folder because it was not in the MTE folder that I downloaded for the demo game which I then bought. It was in my "Documents" (that's a Mac thing) folder in a folder called just "mte". I put the user tilesets into that folder, then put THAT folder into the game folder i had initially downloaded which has the game in it. I restarted the game but I still can't see the new tilesets after clicking on "more" in the Options section.
I am wondering if it is possible that these user tilesets will not work in the Mac version of the game. Does anyone know? Or have I just done something wrong with the folders?
I know the Mac version is pretty new, so perhaps this is a new issue. Help!
Thank you!

MTE has just very recently come out with a Mac version of this game. I would like to know if there are any other Mac MTE players on this forum who have used player tilesets with the game, such as those posted on this site for download at Rapidshare, and what the steps are. I have had no luck getting the game to see my downloaded tilesets, following the instructions for Windows game users, and I am thinking it may be a Mac issue that Big Fish has not addressed. I have emailed their support but it's been a few days and I have had no reply yet, so I am reaching out here.
Thank you for your time!

I can add a wee note here- I am fairly Mac literate (heh- I use it to design AND to run gaming forums with) and have noted that although we can create tile sets and these are placed to the same folder as for any PC user in the SAME format too- they do not (at least for me) show up for longer than the current session.
So- creating a tile set from 36 "raw" images in an appropriately named folder is one thing- but KEEPING it an option to USE is another:
It, upon its creation, resides in UserName (that wee house icon under OSX) / Documents / mte / player tilesets.
And it STAYS there even after you quit, as a .cst file.
But it is never usable again.
It therefore follows that either the folder mte is not placed correctly (although it is its installation location- ie one done by the application without input of the user) OR that the game is not completely functional under OSX.
I suspect the latter- I fear that the Mac version simply doesn't work and would love to be proved wrong.
So- any Mac gamers out there- please check in and let me know? Thanks!
A note to Gabe- if it is still relevant- moving the mte folder from its DEFAULT location in UserName / Documents will, if you look, result in a NEW one being created in the same location and you will be asked to create a new player.
This is because the player files are in that folder and the game needs them to be in that location in order to access it.
(On a side note- having DONE the experiment I can confirm that I was able to create another profile in the SAME name and received a warning message that I was about to and it let me anyway. A bit scary actually...)

Lazynanenj, thanks for taking the time to respond. I think this is a question for a Mac user, because when I go to your list of files I just get jibberish. Try clicking the download button with the CTRL button pressed- this will allow you to mimic the Windows right click. We would not have this issue if the linked .cst file were zipped first- then we would be able to download it by simply clicking the hyperlink. Opt for "download linked file" and if it has .txt appended after its .cst ending (ie looks like this: ***.cst.txt) remove the .txt and OK the change. Done.
