May His counsels sweet uphold you,
And His loving arms enfold you,
As you journey on your way.
May His sheltering wings protect you,
And His light divine direct you,
Turning darkness into day.
May His potent peace surround you,
And His presence linger with you,
As your inner, golden ray.

I would like to start a Blog where we can talk about any type of health issues. Your own or someone very near and dear.
This should be a place of support and lots of TLC. So let's begin....
I have seen a lot of different color awareness ribbons on the bumper or back window of peoples cars. I knew what the pink ribbon represented but the other colored ribbons? Curious as I was, I found this site: www.craftsnscraps.com/jewelry/ribbons.html There are so many different colors for many different types of illness or abuse. Some colors stand for many different types of illnesses.
That's how I got interested in making the Awareness Ribbons tileset.
Today, I woke up, and had the urge to create a breast cancer awareness tileset for all the women who are fighting or did fight the battle of breast cancer.
Please do routine self breast exams and to have annual breast exams done by a doctor. Annual Mammograms are a must for women 40 & over (or anytime there is any suspicious lump).
There is another deadly type of breast cancer that is not detected as a lump. It is called Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC).
I have heard that mammograms do not detect this type of breast cancer. I did hear, however, that an MRI can detect it. (Does this mean all women need to get an annual MRI done on our breasts as well?) komo_ibc.wvx (video/x-ms-wvx).
www.ibcresearch.org/
Fully educate yourselves now about the different types of breast cancer. By doing so, you can become aware of any unusual or abnormal changes in your breasts. No one knows your breasts better than yourself!!!! If you are suspicious of any unusual symptoms and doctors give you the run around or want you to wait and see...take charge. Demand to know now and to have all necassary tests and blood work done. Always get a second opinnion.
My thoughts and prayers go out to all women who are or who have fought this fight.
What's the reason for this increase in numbers? Toxins in food, water and air? Preservatives???

"Not long ago, breast cancer was a taboo subject. People just didn’t talk about breasts. Not long ago, one in every 20 women was diagnosed with breast cancer. That number has grown to one in eight."
"10 million women around the world could die from breast cancer in the next 25 years without the cures".

Christine, a couple of my work colleagues have lost loved ones due to cancer in the last couple of weeks, one with breast cancer. I myself have had a couple of lumps removed but were benign. I'm one of the lucky ones and my thoughts are with the ones who are fighting it. Thankyou for your wonderful tilesets and look forward to seeing more.
Angel and Beljoy, thank you for sharing.
