Frequently Asked Questions about Christmas
by Alan Harris Q: If Santa doesn't have to age, then why has he become old? A: He only appears to be old. He's an undercover kid. Q: How can a sleigh possibly fly through the air? A: If you were being pulled by eight flying reindeer, wouldn't you fly too?
Q: Why do we wish people a "Merry Christmas" instead of a "Happy Christmas"? A: The two are about the same, but with "Merry Christmas" an extra twinkle is seen in the eyes.
Q: Why is a Christmas tree that has been chopped down called a "live Christmas tree"? A: It's dead but doesn't know it, and yet it's having the time of its life.
Q: Why do we wrap our Christmas gifts with paper? A: Because we like to see surprise and joy (real or kindly faked) in the recipients.
Q: How many angels can dance on the head of a pin? A: Nowadays only four angels can dance there. Formerly there was no limit, but OSHA passed the Angel Safety Law recently, which also requires that the pin must be inspected twice each year for structural defects.
Q: How many gifts can Santa Claus's bag hold? A: One less than infinity. Why one less? Because there's a limit to everything.
Q: How could a star that is high in the sky lead the Wise Men to a tiny manger on the ground? A: Wisely, toward the end of their journey they asked directions from someone on the road. Had they not been so wise, they might have missed the manger by several hundred miles. (That person on the road has never been identified.)
Q: Is there really a Mrs. Santa Claus? A: The best way to know for sure is to ask Santa Claus next time you see him.
Q: Why do we hear so many bells at Christmas time? A: Because so many people ring them.
Q: Why do so many people ring bells at Christmas time? A: For the poor, for the joy, and because a bell can say what words can't say.
Q: What can't words say? A: The moment you wake up on Christmas morning, listen carefully. You may hear then what words can't say.

"A Joyful heart is good medicine" It heals the body when its down and lifts the spirit from within. It will bring a smile to others. As you journey on your way, pass the cup of kindness, love someone today.
It takes only one small candle to show you the way. It takes just a kind word to help someone today. Reach out to others, show that you care . For like a burning candle, It may not always be there.

Let go of the "shoulds" in your life. Open up to the miracle of now. Value your uniqueness. Explore your dreams and passions. Yield to life - go with the flow. Obey the voice of your Spirit. Unwind - get cozy and comfy. Renew yourself - body and soul. Surround yourself with caring people. Express yourself - be true to you. Linger longer at what you enjoy. Feel God's special love for you. A dear friend sent this to me. It's fits everyone's life...
This is good! Make a copy and read it once a week.
A lecturer when explaining stress management to an audience, raised a glass of water and asked "How heavy is this glass of water?"
Answers called out ranged from 20g to 500g. The lecturer replied, "The absolute weight doesn't matter. It depends on how long you try to hold it.
If I hold it for a minute, that's not a problem. If I hold it for an hour, I'll have an ache in my right arm. If I hold it for a day, you'll have to call an ambulance.
In each case, it's the same weight, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes." He continued, "And that's the way it is with stress management. If we carry our burdens all the time, sooner or later, as the burden becomes increasingly heavy, we won't be able to carry on. "
"As with the glass of water, you have to put it down for a while and rest before holding it again. When we're refreshed, we can carry on with the burden."
"So, before you return home tonight, put the burden of work down. Don't carry it home. You can pick it up tomorrow.
Whatever burdens you're carrying now, let them down for a moment if you can."
So, my friend, Put down anything that may be aburden to you right now. Don't pick it up again until after you've rested a while. Here are some great ways of dealing with the burdens of life:
* Accept that some days you're the pigeon, and some days you're the statue.
* Always keep your words soft and sweet, just in case you have to eat them.
* Always read stuff that will make you look good if you die in the middle of it.
* Drive carefully. It's not only cars that can be recalled by their maker.
* If you can't be kind, at least have the decencyto be vague.
* It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply be kind to others.
* Since it's the early worm that gets eaten by the bird, sleep late.
* Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once.
* We could learn a lot from crayons... Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names, and all are different colors, but they all have to live in the same box. *A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour. And My Favourite: * Pessimists may be right, but optimists have more fun trying to prove them wrong :-} Have an awesome day and know that someone has thought about you today...I did.

Here is a few:
The tides of time wash away even the deepest despair.
In the throes of indecision, a deep, inner voice will whisper an answer.
Find something you truly believe in, and everything else will have meaning as well.
One warm exchange of words with a pleasant stranger can light up an entire day.
I was annoyed when someone bumped into me on the street, until I turned around and saw that he was blind.
A two-faced co-worker is more treacherous than a temperamental boss.
A mother nurtures her child long past childhood.

Believe In Yourself
Believe in yourself in the power you have, the power which leads you through life, through good and through bad times.
Believe in the hidden qualities which everyone possesses and which will show you the right way.
Believe in tomorrow and in the things that day will bring and try to see everything from the bright side, 'cause with a positive look on life there's no limit to your possibilities.

One day at a time - this is enough. Do not look back and grieve over the past, for it is gone: and do not be troubled about the future, for it has not yet come. Live in the present, and make it so beautiful that it will be worth remembering.
