Okay...I was back in the hospital for a few days. I had another surgery and had my gall bladder taken out. So I am really sore because they pretty much did a major surgery over a major surgery and did the gall bladder surgery a full 3 weeks before they wanted too. BUT...I am healing and should be healed up most of the way by the time Kian comes home.
Kian is up to 4 pounds 4 ounces and they have him on a half liter of air an hour. He is on 40mL of formula every 3 hours and is now out of the incubator and in his own bassonette. This past Thursday they released me and I was down visiting Kian and they let me give him his first bottle and he took about a quarter of an ounce of it so he is starting to learn to suck, swallow and nipple. The next day they tried to get him to do it and he took about 2 sips from the bottle and went to sleep...LOL. All in all he is doing wonderful though. They are thinking he should be able to come home in 3 or 4 weeks. Here are a couple of pictures from the last time I had the camera up there.

Oy...sorry it has been a while since I have written anything here. I have been super busy. Kian came home on May 26th. He is 6 pounds 12 ounces now and is doing WONDERFUL. Here is a picture I took of him a couple days ago. He has my coloring. The strawberry blonde hair and his eyes are lightening up and turning the grey-blue color. Anyway, hope you all are well. *S*

Sorry it has been so long since I have been here. The little critter keeps me pretty busy. He's doing really well and is finally starting to look like a real baby. He had his 4 month immunizations on the 6th of this month and weighed 9 pounds 2 ounces at that time and the doctor said he is doing awesome. He is gaining and growing really well. Here are a couple new pictures that my sister took on his 4 month birthday on the 4th of this month.
He is kind of looking around like 'uhh what are you doing???'
Then with this one he kind of looks like he is thinking 'geez are you going to flashy thing me again???'
Anyway, I hope you are all well and enjoying the summer. Take care and have fun.

Sorry it has been a while since I have been here. I get side tracked pretty easily with the munchkin. Can you guys believe he is almost 6 and a half months old now? He got his 6 month shots on October 8th and weighed in at 12 pounds 6 ounces and 23 inches long which doc says is fantastic since he was so early. He is right where he needs to be. He's starting to really laugh and smile and jabber a lot. He can kind of say "no" already...LOL. He is really really strong as I found out when he got ahold of my hair when I left it down and he pulled out about 7 or 8 strands and then I had to fight him for them so he didn't try to eat them. And he appears to be teething since he likes to chew on everything...LOL. What is funnier yet is that he is a bottle baby since I am on a lot of medications from being really sick during the pregnancy and yet he tries to nurse on Hubby...LMAO. Anyway, I am healing slowly. The migraines are finally getting better but I have an enlarged ovary and am not sure what is going to happen with that yet or even what is wrong with it. I am still on a TON of blood pressure medication and stuff too. I basically have a lot of healing to do yet. The doctors have pretty much said a good year or so because of the severe pre-eclampsia, emergency c-section where I died twice on the operating table, and the gall bladder surgery a few weeks after was too much stress on my body not too mention all the hormonal changes just completely whacked my body out which means I can't take the birth control pills anymore and have to go with mirena instead that won't cause migraines since my insurance won't allow a tubal. The doctors have said absolutely no more babies after Kian. Chances are I won't live through another pregnancy. Anyway, sorry if that is too much info for everyone. Anywho, here are a few pictures of Kian taken on October 4th which is his 6 month birthday. You can see how he is actually starting to look like a real baby. I have one from a month before with my Hubby and him too and most people still say he looks like a miniature version of me...LOL. Take care and be well everyone. I should be around a bit more now hopefully since Kian likes the swing in here better. ;D

Daniel's parents haven't seen him and his Dad needs to get cleaned up because of the state of his house and hygiene just isn't good for the little guy. The landlords of his Dad's place need to replace carpets and everything due to bad bug and smell problems from previous renters and the place is a mess. His Dad and Step-Mom are packrats and that is an understatement. They live a good hour or so North of us too. My family sees Kian all the time. They live here in the same town and my 3 year ols niece Hannah just can't get enough of "Baby Kian". It's going to be an adventure once Kian starts walking because I have a feeling him and Hannah are going to keep us really busy...LOL. Kian is advanced on his babbling and word formation for being so early and even being 6 and a half months they say he is advanced on the babbling to us. He is pretty well where he should be for everything else. Since he was 10 weeks premature it makes things difficult to know when he is supposed to be doing what. We tried starting him on solid food about a month ago...LOL...needless to say he HATES carrots. Hubby got a carrot bath...LMAO. Kian was screaming and mad as hell and Hubby was mad as hell cause he got carrots from head to toe glasses and all. It is funny because every time Hubby is kind of a jerk to me about something Kian does something like peeing on him or making a really nasty diaper or taking a good ounce or so of formula in his mouth and then blowing it all over Hubby's face...LOL. So Kian is definately Momma's boy. And he is really getting cute now when he laughs and smiles. I just can't seem to get him to smile for the camera. He doesn't really care for the flashy thing. He's a lot of fun though. I really never thought I would be a Mom and even though I had a rough pregnancy and still have a lot of problems stemming from it I wouldn't give him up for anything. He is just amazing. And every day it seems like he does something new. What are the odds that I would have the first boy baby on my Dad's side in over 20 years and the first boy baby on Mom's side in a little over 60 years and have it be the only baby I can have and not only that but have him come out genetically looking like me with my gray-blue eyes and auburn red hair considering his Daddy has brown hair and brown eyes? Pretty cool huh? He is just something else. ;D
I am pretty open about stuff because it is easier if people know what is going on instead of guessing and worrying about what might be going on.

Just for you! Bubble-gum cheeks baby baby...oh my dear baby to you i dedicate this loveliest of pages
your eyes those eyes sweetest of gazes
upon me like gentle lightest of hazes
your smile that smile poetry it sings
i rise and rise... upon butterfly wings
your cheeks those cheeks your cotton wool cheeks
softest and fluffiest most buttle-gum cheeks
baby baby, oh my dear baby to you i dedicate this loveliest of poetries

Okay...I know it has been a while. I get sidetracked kind of easily these days. Kian is doing awesome. Babbling and really trying to crawl and he is teething. He reminds me of a Lab puppy except WORSE...LOL. Anyway, he's around 16 and a half pounds now and I don't know how many inches long but he looks like a normal 9 and a half month old...just a tad smaller...LOL. When he throws a fit he is yelling at us "NO NO NO NO BAD BAD BAD BAD!!!" And he says Mom with a heavy emphasis on the Mmmm. And usually he says Da when he gets royally ticked. He laughs like a chipmunk on crack. Think Theodore from Alvin And The Chipmunks except a little more hyper...LOL. Tonight he was playing on his play mat and managed to get the cupboard to the entertainment center open and pulled out a couple VHS Disney movies...LOL. He rolls ALL over the place. Here's some newer pictures.
November 2008...he somehow managed to make the front part of his hair stick straight up...LOL.
Another November 2008 one...only in this one he is royally ticked at me and hates the oatmeal.
December 30, 2008 and he actually looked at the camera for me. He still won't smile for the camera.
And this one was January 3, 2009 at the arcade in Seaside. Our friend Leslie took this one.
We had a pretty wicked Holidays here since we got pounded with snow. I had 2 feet of it in the week or so prior to Christmas and it was STILL here on Christmas and we couldn't get anywhere. My Aunt passed away on Christmas Eve and we had the funeral on New Years' Eve. The cancer had been in remission and somehow the doctors missed it and said there was nothing they could do. I immediately threw all my pills away and have only been put back on a blood pressure medication so I can have my tubes tied and my right ovary removed. I am hoping that 2009 will be better than 2008 was. The only real good thing that came out of 2008 was Kian. Hard to believe he will be a year old on April 4th. My Husband has taken the military's offer of a 24 month deferment for going into the Active Army Reserves so he supposedly won't be deployed but it is only a deferment for Iraq and Afghanistan. SO...if we go to war with any other country in the next year or so he will be deployed. His exit date for the military is June 11, 2010 so here is to hoping that Obama can turn things around. Other than that I think I have covered just about everything. Between my critters and the baby I get pretty sidetracked. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year!!!
One last picture...it is of me at 2 years old and Kian at 8 months old...you can see the resemblance. *S*
