>:(Has anyne but me noticed that this game has digressed to a chat room with layouts? Or seeing who can come up with the longest, hardest, gosh, you have to reshuffle and hope the hidden tile goes away layouts? I play this game to relax, not to be frustrated and annoyed or catch up on the doings of the members of "The Speedie Club". Also, don't you just love the freebie people that get their free hour and throw out ridiculous layouts? What are all of your feelings. Comments welcome!

play the game to relax then. i dont think its mandatory that you keep up with speedies, or try and make/beat the hardest layouts. make your own layouts that arent speedy, but dont have a heap of hidden tiles. everyone plays their own game and not on a competition basis. for that matter i could claim the top 50 ranks in 10 minutes or less, and use a robot to claim the best times on the speedys.

There are several people in the game who use layouts to promote their (christian) religion and to post religious messages. I find this very irritating. Is there a possibility to stop them doing that. They spoil the game for me.

Don't think so. You can sent an ingame message, telling you don't like it. You are not forced to play the layouts, you don't like. Just pass them.

Ok, I will send them ingame messages. And I already don't play their layouts. Bedankt Gerda.

I gotta agree with tineke there. I never play any layouts with any sort of religious symbols. It just feels like the wrong place to prostelitize.
I just pass em and roll my eyes.

I am not a religious man, myself...but I looked at the licensing agreement, and nowhere did I find the term, "Thou shalt not create religious layouts." Cool layouts, Dingo! Keep 'em coming!

Considering this weeks hardest layout is "Cross's" I don't see why questions are being raised over religous layouts. Take a look at the layouts shirl o has posted and listed as creating. What's good for the goose is good for the gander. Also, if someone would share speedies with religous titles, do you think that there would be a ruckus raised ?

I'm not religious either, but am a huge fan of SHIRL O's layouts because they are such fantastic puzzles. I thought about not posting her "The Cross's" layout as the weekly hardest layout because of how some players might view the layout, but decided to view it simply as a great puzzle. Something to keep in mind though for future picks for the hardest layout club, if players choose to not play layouts because of what they resemble or symbolize.

You are correct about Shirl O's layouts. They are works of art and should be played and enjoyed without worrying about the statement they make. I think that as adults, I hope, we can be big enough to look at the layouts as just that, layouts! This is a game, not a political or religious forum.

I concur. If you don't like religion then boycott everything religious.

I dont think anywhere anyone said they didnt like religion. Like i said above, i just pass em by, its a game with 100k layouts, and I am of free will to choose the layouts that I wish to play. I choose not to play layouts that promote or push a specific religion. Its that simple.

Karma point for RebA, a practical and diplomatic person. I too feel that if it bothers others that much, I'll find a differant shape to make layouts in. We all want to have fun and play the game. Be considerate of others feelings, that's the motto I go by.

Well, I hope you keep on putting out layouts like you have, religious themes or not. They are fun and entertaining ...and I hope if you feel like putting a particular theme on them, you do so regardless of what others might think. After all, if one don't like whats on the television, one should just change the channel. Calling the TV station to gripe just makes one look foolish.

I just realized my last comment may offend some people...if so, I apologize, I mean no offense.

You would be suprised, knowing the amount of complain letters (e-mails) broadcast companies recieve. An opinion is not an insult. Readers can take it or leave it. Up to them. I viewed layouts of Dingo. They look nice. I've seen layouts made by others in the past. It is up to the player to play a layout or pass it. In my opinion there's nothing religious in the layouts of Shirl O. Not in the tiltes or subtitles. A cross is a nice geometric form. I've made layouts with crosses. Like the final Octomino. Nothing meant with it. I keep, what I believe or not believe for myself. It is a private matter.

I too like working in cross shapes; they make for interesting layouts. I happen to know that Dingo is a musician and used song titles for the layout title. She too does not want to infiringe on the enjoyment of the game for others. Dingo told me that she may be a bit more crafty in the future and hide certain shapes deep within the layout....who knows?

I really enjoy the cross layouts and dingo makes all kinds not just crosses. Her layouts are really enjoyable and fun to do you should all check them out. Keep up the great layouts dingo. If your "knickers" are in a bind I might suggest passing the ones over that offend and do the others thanks
