Hi all
Seen as there is a link to see where people live i thought it might be interesting to find out what jobs people have aswell.
I am an animal biologist and work with insects and reptiles. Aswell as lots of tarantulas (they are mostly unwanted pets). Used to work in with birds of prey too

Sounds interesting Lucy but I can live without the creepy crawly things thanks lol. My grandparents were from Motherwell, Scotland ! Just a point of interest lol. I wouldn't divulge where I work if I did just because of the nuts on the net which hopefully we have none of here but in this day and age who knows lol. However seeing as I don't work outside the home I will say that I work in front of my computer designing levels for BKR and have been working with rainluver in designing some tilesets on here. I did 4 or 5 levels as well here but I don't think I'm a very good mahjong designer so probably won't do many more of those. I much prefer playing the levels that others have made and some of them are extremely amazing !

Hey Kar, your Mahjong levels are cool, I hope that you continue designing layouts. I work at a wireless technology startup in Silicon Valley. Can't say much more than that, the company is still in 'stealth mode' as they call it out here.

Whats Stelth mode? Sorry for seeming a bit daft.
I thought about your post above Kar and you are probably right its not a good idea to tell everyone where we work after all you dont know who might see it(i dont mean anyone on the forum as you all seem so nice but others may access it too). So ive modified my post above.
Ive got family near Motherwell but unfortunately we lost touch with them

Hi Lucy, stealth mode means that the company is still private and the technology under development is confidential. So it's hard to go into details about what I do for them. I can say that I do consulting work, and it's a part-time job - leaving plenty of time for MTE! Your occupation sounds fascinating, it's obvious that you enjoy what you do for a living.

Sounds interesting. I do love my job but my aim is to eventually work in the wild with animals hopefully in Australia or Africa. Would love to help with conservation in an animals natural habitat rather than doing it in captivity.

I am a Payroll Administrator for a large Insurance Company whose corporate office is here in Houston. We have 1100 employees that are stationed world wide. My staff and I are pretty busy this time of the year preparing for year end and we will stay fairly busy until the end of tax season. I recently had to take a short rest period from my job due to built up stress. Luckily, I find that playing Mahjong helps me relax and loose some of the stress that I accumulate on a daily basis...and that helps me retain my sanity!! ;D When I am playing the game or up on the forum I can put all other things out of mind and therefore I am a much happier person.

Hi my name is Nikkii, I work for a children's detention centre here in Michigan I have only been there just over a year and I love it. You see some really sad cases, but if I can make a difference to just one child or turn one childs life around I will be eternally wrapped. I love my job but don't have a lot of time on the computer so play when I get home at night and when I can talk to my kids on Messenger....Thank God for computers I would be totally lost without mine and being able to play Mah Jong and speak to my mates in Sydney and New Zealand.

I have two jobs. I work full time in a medical clinic answering the phone lines and scheduling appointments. It is very very busy. We have 9 doctors. I'm very lucky to share the job with two other very nice ladies and we all get along great and have a good time at work. I also work in a grocery store when other people don't show up for work, call in sick, etc. I enjoy seeing all the people who come through my line. My jobs sound kind of boring after reading about the jobs some of you have! Rainluver, your jobs sound great! You know each of us has a place in this world and you get to met a lot people face to face and interact with them. This takes a special skill that others may not have. Some of us are more numbers people and end up in boring offices or in front of computers 60 hours a week working on reports and tax filings and such...Your job sounds idyllic to me

I work as an engraver and play guitar and bass as a second career. So basically this is the last thing I need to wear my fingers out with!
I'm feeling this "Lightning Pig Fatigue" setting in, where one week ago I was hitting 8.6 speeds and tonight I'm lucky to get 12 seconds. Like it's too many million points ahead of me to even try anymore. But I must because now it is my destiny. Otherwise the $20 I spent on this game would be all for nothing, right?

Hi, I'm a graphic designer in California's gold country. I spend way too much time on this game, but it has become an obsession. lol. I should be working on my chess board designs in my spare time. And I should be just relaxing some of the time anyway, since I spend all day working on advertising on a computer at my job. But I can't stop myself. Well, gotta run, USA network is having an all day Monk-a-thon today. Love that Monk! Guess that qualifies as just relaxing. grin!
