Hi, everybody!!!!!!! It's been soooooo long since I was on here last, but I've been a BUSY KID the past few months. Have made a FEW new tilesets--nearly all college (at least 64 so far), plus some others like Zippo lighters, salt and peppers, symbols/sayings, etc. My college sets are really interesting to say the least: have some where the school colors were blue (2 sets), red , gold, green, purple; military academies; all one mascot (bulldogs; rams; bees--like yellow jackets, hornets, etc; cardinals; blue jays; eagles; hawks); Cowboys and Indians; Tech school logos; M&M's (2 sets; the school logo is a single M), all N's, or W's, "good grades" (A's and B's of course), "The High C's" (all start with C), alphabet sets (school logo is a single letter of the alphabet),"Man's best friend" (mascots are bulldogs, terriers, salukis, huskies, etc.), animal pawprints (mascots are bears, dogs, cougars, etc.), devils and demons, horses. You want a mascot--I'll probably have it. ;D In my symbols sets, I use things like smiley faces, fiery arrows, crowns, hearts, yin/yang, biohazard signs, stars, etc. I've not uploaded them because rapidshare deleted a few I put on their site because no one else downloaded them within their time limit. I'd insert a couple pictures to show an example, but can't figure it out. Jan51601

Hi Jan! It's good to see you here again. Are you going to be posting links to your new tilesets? I'd love to check some of them out. Some of your old links are broken....do you think you can refresh them for us? You can see them in your first message at the top of this thread. Would love to. Created an account on esnips, but can't figure out how to use their uploader. Thought I might try to upload my symbols sets for Shiloh and maybe a couple college logo/mascot sets, too. Figured out the uploader (I THINK??) and--for tonight anyway--uploaded my Signs and Symbols tilesets. Go to www.esnips.com/web/Jan51601sMahjongtilesets and look for Signs_and_Sy_48672.cst. Hopefully, it will work. ;D

It worked great, Jan. Thank you very much!!! Glad you liked them ;D Think I'll put a few others on esnips as well. Rapidshare gets too busy deleting things before people can find them. jan51601

I hope that's not how esnips works because I just uploaded 2 more sets and put them in a shared to the world file. The URL's are different for a couple of them, but here they are: www.esnips.com/web/Bottlecaps (these are vintage pop bottle caps. www.esnips.com/web/collegelogotileset (can't do my other logo set unless I change its name because some tiles are on both sets. www.esnips.com/web/Jan51601Mahjongtileset/TV_Personalities. Let me know if these can be downloaded. If not, I'll email their support department. Looks like I'll have to email them. I just clicked on the link to the Bottlecaps set and it said there were no files in the folder. jan51601

The first two folders are empty. To the last one I have no access.
I don't know how you uploaded the CST files.
After I created an account at Esnips I got an icon at the desktop. Clicking this icon I go to my main page. I click at the second tab: Folders. At the left are the private folders. At the right the shared ones.
I created a folder for every creator with over 5 tilesets. Only used two tags: mte and tilesets
I saw you have loads of tags in use. They might make sense to you, but they don't to me.
Clicking at the Esnips icon at desktop enables me to upload loads of (p.e. cst) files at once to one folder. I select the destiny folder and give the files the tags.
I hope, this will help you.

Thanks, Gerda.!! I just printed out your suggestion about esnips. Might try your ideas because my uploads sure don't work very well. Have been doing something besides colleges lately: 2 with heart-shapes (some really wild!!), stars, skull and crossbones (for the pirate fans. LOL), funny t-shirts, American chocolate candy bars, beer and soda pop cans and bottle caps (3 sets of these. Ever heard of "Leninade" from Russia, or how about Banana Soda, Celery Soda, Hippo Size Root Beer, Braino Sour, KoKo Nut Pineapple soda, or Shiner Blonde beer?? Well, neither had I), "Babylon 5 vs Star Treks", game logos (like MTE, Aloha Solitaire, etc), and have some started but not finished yet--unicorns and pegasus, dragons , "The Eyes Have It" (human, animal, etc). So, hope someone will see this and let me know what they'd like to see. jan3948 PS: Just saw where Big Fish added yet another mahjong game yesterday--CARIBBEAN MAHJONG. Sounds a bit interesting. ;D

It's been a loooooooooooong time since I listed any of my tilesets, but that's because I have just been too busy MAKING them!! Would you believe that besides all the college sets I've made, that I have added just 98 more to my list? ? Included are colors/color schemes (like black/silver; neon colors like blue, red, purple, green & yellow, orange; red/white; red+blue=purple;etc), and miscellaneous sets like beer/soda caps (3 sets); candy bars;lips; cell phone covers; zippo lighters; 4 sets of hearts; 4 sets of skulls; 4 sets of eyes; middle finger (I call them "Da Bird"--2 sets); dice; dominoes; playboy logo; MTV; "whoop ass"; money; Furbabies (kittens and puppies); 3 sets of smileys; national flags (3 sets); peace signs; bling things; biohazard signs; aliens; marijuana (aka "Weed"-2 sets); and Yin/Yang---to name a few. If anyone is interested, let me know and I'll upload them--probably to esnips instead of rapidshare (this one breaks the links too quickly). jan51601

Gerda--how on earth did you save the pictures of layouts with a person's tileset showing?? Thought maybe I could show some of my newer sets that way. I tried to right click on a layout with my set on it, but it wouldn't "Save as", etc. jan51601

Hi Jan. Nice to see you back. As told before I am very interested in your tilesets. Ah that is to be said in CST files. As told before: At your Esnips account I only find images: jpg files. It is better to delete them of the account. Nobody will download the images to puzzle out which picture belongs to which tileset and let MTE.exe build the tileset. We want you to do it for us. About the images of tilesets made by others: I made a layout called: *+*. I start IrfanView and start it to make a screenshot. I start MTE. I put a tileset on *+* in Classic Mode and make a screen-shot of it. I crop it and save the selection as tileset_12345.jpg for example. Here you can find some more information about screen-shots using IrfanView: mahjongtowers.proboards56.com/index.cgi?board=askaway&action=display&thread=1143046628Here you can find some more information about creating tilesets using IrfanView: mahjongtowers.proboards56.com/index.cgi?board=tilesetshelp&action=display&thread=1159200860Oh I do not use sharpen, brightness and contrast in batch conversation anymore. Sharpen I do not use at all. Brightness and contrast I do with each image individually.

Gerda, did Irfan View cost you to download it? ? I wrote down the instructions above and went to the customer area, and it wanted to know how many years I wanted to use it for. Said it was $19.95 USD for 1 year up to $43 USD for 3 years. jan51601

Well, I tried Irfan View, and THOUGHT I had all the tiles in my Black and Yellow set reduced to 50% and saved to a file, but when I clicked on the list again, they were still the same size. Feel like I wasted 2 hours. jan51601

At www.irfanview.com is no custom area. I don't know where you have been . I hope you downloaded iview399.exe. Irfanview is freeware for non-commercial user. That goes for you and me. A donation of $ 10 is appreciated. Actually I think program is worth more. You did not waist time. You learned about the program. I spend much time with looking around and learned by trying. It was getting better after I installed Dutch language in it lol. How was I to know what "crop" means? Irfanview does not automatically saves modified images. This I told in this thread: mahjongtowers.proboards56.com/index.cgi?board=tilesetshelp&action=display&thread=1159200860It has no use to reduce the images by half for creating a tileset. You have to resize them to a ratio of 80x96 pixels. Please read over the thread. It is not a law of course to do it this way. It is more like a cooking-book. If you like it sweet: put more sugar in. I always make a backup of the images and work with the copies.

Thanks for the information. I ran into a mess last night. It seems that esnips put ALL the images I had uploaded before into the SAME folder (so I had "Beer and Bottle Caps" in with my "Star Trek/Babylon 5" tiles, plus some from a color scheme set), so I spent about 3 hours deleting the majority of them and putting them into their own folder with fewer tags. For instance, I put a color scheme set with the tag "MTE-Black and Yellow" into a folder and used one of the pictures as the folder cover shot. I hope this will work. jan51601

I am sorry to hear you spend so much time to it. You could make a new folder at Ensips account. Select all that you want to move and move them to the new made folder.
I don't think many players will download the images to create a tileset with it them self.
Players want to download tilesets to put in the player tilesets folder that look like: tileset_12345.cst.
Are you a Macintosh user? tileset_12345.cst files don't work with Mac. Mac users have to rename the tileset to: tileset_12345.cct.
Perhaps that is why wildlife tileset of Ray didn't work on your system.

Thought I'd try tonight to move entire folders to esnips to save some time, even though it says to "upload files". Guess all I can do is see what happens. Oh--last night I saw an ad or something saying "Mahjong Towers II"--is that a totally different game or is it an update of what I have now (MTE) If an update, does it cost more to download it or can we use our other registration code?? jan51601
