Diamond Dog now.
People food is good for dogs - better than that stuff they try to make us eat, anyway - unless it turns out to be chcocolate. There were some leftovers, and I did what I always do - I helped myself. I got sick as a - well, you know - and I still can't eat! Nothing wants to stay down. I'll probably have to wait until tomorrow before I can beg scraps from the table again.

Fire Dog now. Let's have an appopriate anecdote for that.
I'm a hero! Well, I'm not all that much of a hero, I guess. After all, I didn't rescue anyone from a burning building. I did smell smoke, though, and woke everyone up. They acted fast, got help, and caught a smoldering electrical connection before the fire started. So now I'm basking in hugs and kisses!

Can you imagine?! I usually don't sing very much, but I met a girl doggie yesterday and I'm in love! We were across the street from each other, and both of us were straining mightily at our leashes. She called out to me and I answered. Then we were forced to go our separate ways. Last night, I heard her voice - and I answered. We sang to each other all night long. People didn't seem to appreciate our singing. Don't they understand? This is unrequited love! Jim But erm how about the romance? I wish to hear more from that. Love romances.

Can you imagine?! But erm how about the romance? I wish to hear more from that. Love romances. Ok, I'll work that into this one ... Wind Dog now ... and another appropriate anecdote. I was running like the wind - hard and fast, and most of the time I caught the frisbie. Other frisbies were flying around the park, and I managed to nab a few of those, too. Then I saw my girlfriend, and forgot all about the frisbies. She'd play hard to get, and I'd chase, then we'd do it again. We splashed around the edge of the water together, chasing ducks and geese, then back to land , chasing squirrels and rabbits. We never caught anything, but who cares? It was when we'd finally settled down in some trees and were catching our breath that our owners caught up to us. I can hardly wait for our next trip to the park! Jim

Lightning Dog now.
Our next outing to the park was great! I spotted my girlfriend, but before greeting her, I wanted to get her a present. So I went rummaging in the woods at the park's edge, where people often discard stuff. Then I found it - an old leather boot - a prize find to give her. I found her over by the picnic tables, and dropped it in front of her, panting excitably. She reached for it, but naturally I picked it up first. Sure, it's a present, but she'll have to take it away from me. I just won't make it too hard for her. So there we were, playing tug-of-war with the old boot, growling, snarling, and having all kinds of fun. I finally eased up a bit and let her claim her prize. That's when our owners found us, so I don't even know if she got to keep the boot. But the important thing is that I presented her a gift and she accepted. We were meant for each other. If we're patient, our time will come. I see puppies in our future.
